Full Technical Management
Oceana's Full Technical Management Services include every aspect of operating and managing a vessel safely, efficiently and effectively in accordance with owner's requirements, ship's design requirements, insurer, flag state and class requirements, charterer's requirements, ISM Code requirements and to the highest industry standards and services, which does include every aspect of monitoring the vessel conditions, the vessel's performance, vessel operations in regards to safe and efficient cargo handling and cargo conditioning, planned and project maintenance, regular condition assessment, dry docking, deck/engine maintenance, and repair planning and supervision, budget control, certification and vetting and others in order to take care of a vessel throughout her life time.
Owners will have access to reports and data of running their asset as required by their needs and expectations at any time, whereby we emphasis on high quality and transparency.
However, Full Technical Management does not include any commercial services or aspect of the ship or operations instructions.
3rd Party Vessel Inspection Services
Oceana undertakes ship inspections on behalf of Ship Owners, Ship Managers, Banks, Financial Institutions, Funds Houses, and Investors. These inspections are conducted for Pre-Purchase, Asset Management & Recovery and Risk Management processes.
Sale & Purchase Inspection
Oceana provides assistance in connection with the sale and purchase of vessels by giving an independent view of the condition of the vessel(s). Based on the client’s specific requirements, this service involves the inspection of class records to provide the status of class and statutory certificates and surveys; the status of recommendations and memoranda affecting class; dry-docking records; major and significant overhauls and repairs; and a review of thickness measurement results where applicable.
Asset Inspection
This service is designed for Banks, Financial institutions and Funds Houses and is basically the same as a Pre-Purchase Inspections by giving an independent view of the condition of the vessel(s). Based on the client’s specific requirements, this service involves the inspection of class records to provide the status of class and statutory certificates and surveys; the status of recommendations and memoranda affecting class; dry-docking records; major and significant overhauls and repairs; and a review of thickness measurement results where applicable.
Safety & Security Audits
Oceana provides external Safety & Security Audits in accordance with the Client’s Company and Vessel’s Safety Management System (SMS). This service provides an independent view whether the company and the vessel’s management does act in accordance with the company SMS and does apply the SMS correctly, plus we provide the necessary recommendations, if required.
Condition Surveys
Oceana provides external afloat inspections with limited or no opening up. Areas covered include corrosion protection, cargo systems, deck and navigational equipment, accommodation, machinery systems and maintenance, logbooks, information on trade, performance reports, loading / discharging rates, out-turn discrepancies, safety equipment and safety consciousness, records and status related to classification and marine administrations.
Asset Management
This service is particularly designed for Banks, Financial Institutions, Funds Houses, and Investors as well for ship owners who have their vessels chartered out on bareboat.
Oceana’s Asset Management Services includes every aspect of monitoring the vessel conditions, the vessels performance, vessel operations in regards to safe and efficient cargo handling and cargo conditioning, planned and projected maintenance, regular condition assessment, dry docking and repair review and recommendation, budget control, certification, vetting and others in order to ensure owners and managers do take care of a vessel throughout her life time. Clients will be supplied with regular reports and data about the running of their asset as required by their needs and expectations at any time.
New Build Supervision & Plan Approval
Oceana provides specialist support services to new building projects from the initial feasibility study through to vessel in-service evaluation. Specific services include design appraisal, contract negotiations support, specification and plan approval, quality control supervision and project management during the construction period, support for tests and trials and the handling of guarantee claims.
The Oceana Technical Team offers experience in working on a broad range of vessel types and in working with many of the leading shipyards and suppliers around the world.
